Adam: Voice changes, increase in muscle mass/definition (the little that I have), new hair growth, possible mood swings, increase in sex drive... I'll probably get acne too. Don't hate me when I'm ugly?

Adam: Yeah... hormone therapy. I've been thinking about it for a while and I got the green light for the prescription from my therapist this past weekend. I totally understand if you're freaked out by this, I sort of am too, but in a good way. Sorry I didn't mention it before, I wasn't sure I was going to do it.
Maya: So your therapist okay'd it? A doctor? I'll be honest... I'm a little freaked, but it's just because I'm not really familiar with all this... I'll help you. Just.. why me? Why not your mom or someone else in your family?
Adam: Yeah she evaluated me over a month's time to see whether or not I was emotionally ready for it. It's totally normal to be freaked especially when I assume this is your first time hearing about it, like the process with someone you know I mean. Well Drew and I are arguing and uh well my mom, uh.. Alright to be honest, my parents don't know, BUT that's only because my mom would say no for no damn good reason. I was going to ask my dad to give consent because in the past he told me he would, but my mom would just bully him out of it. Don't be mad.
Maya: Adam... I don't know how I feel about this.. Don't you think your family would notice you taking it anyways? You should tell them..
Adam: Not if I'm careful about it. I didn't say I wasn't going to tell them ever... I mean if what I read online is true, the changes will be noticeable in a week or so, and then I'll have to tell them. If I tell them now they'll just take them away without actually noticing how happy I am while on them. I figured that if they saw the changes for themselves that it'd be better than reading about them on the internet, or hearing me talk about them.. I really want this Maya, but if it makes you uncomfortable helping me, you don't have to. That isn't a guilt trip I swear, I'm serious.
